Regular software updates are good and all, but only when they make the devices in question better and fix annoying bugs from previous software updates.

For Xiaomi Mi A3 owners, the experience has been quite the opposite, especially ever since the update to Android 10 OS was released some weeks ago. To date, no single software update has been pushed to the Mi A3 that has had zero issues.

The most recent update arrived a few weeks ago carrying May 2020 security patches. Both the European and Global Mi A3 Android 10-based ROMs have picked up the update and it seems both are affected by affected by a random reboot issue.

Going by the statements above, the issue where Mi A3 units restart randomly started after the April update. It has been this way ever since and sometimes when it happens, affected units crash forcing users to reboot them in order to address the issue.

The recent May security update didn’t help much in addressing the Mi A3 reboot issue and affected users are not happy about it. On the brighter side, a Mi forum moderator says the devs are aware of the issue.

Now that the issue has been passed on to the devs, we can rest assured that a fix is in the works, but we don’t know when it will arrive. Stay tuned to PiunikaWeb for updates on when this bug-fixing update begins rolling out.
