Xiaomi is not only a popular smartphone brand, but also widely recognized for their smart TVs. By bringing the proven marketing strategy of maximum specs-to-price ratio in the smart TV segment, the OEM has created quite a name for themselves in this category.
Like MIUI, there is a custom layer called PatchWall found inside Mi TVs. After a long beta testing phase, Xiaomi recently pushed the Pie update across its Android TV lineup. The entry-level Mi TV 4A series also received the OTA that brought in several goodies for the gadget.
Check out the screenshots and tweets of the Mi TV 4A users reporting this issue:
Not only this, but other users have also reported that they were not able to download the Netflix app on their Mi TV 4A after this new Android 9 Pie update.
This is not the first time Mi TVs have fell prey to such showstopper bugs. Previously, we have reported that the owners of the Mi TV 4 Pro and Mi TV 4A Pro were facing a number of issues with Chromecast after the Pie update.
