Chris Pratt, a big name in Hollywood, will do the voice work in the famous feline Garfield movie. It is going to be a Monday-hating feline animated feature film produced by Alcon Entertainment with Sony Pictures.
The plot will be inspired by Jim Davis long-running comic series. It revolves around a lazy orange cat Garfield ( voice over will be done by Pratt), his owner Jim Arbuckle and fellow pet Odie which is a dog. The production has not declared the release date or the details of the plot yet. This is not the first movie of Garfield’s adventure but it’s the first time when it’s going to be fully animated. Billy Murray did the voice acting in the movie ‘Garfield: the movie’ released in 2004 and ‘Garfield: a tale of two kitties’ in 2006. The movie will be directed by Mark Dindal who also directed The Emperor’s New Groove and script is written by David Reynolds who is also the script writer of Finding Nemo. The movie will be released all around the globe excluding China.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is not new to this field. He has also done the voice acting in Lego films and Pixar’s famous movie Onward. He is also set to be the Voice of Mario in Super Mario Bros Film which will be released in December 2022. Pratt seemed excited about his upcoming Garfield’s adventure movie as he posted about the movie captioned, ” Well this Monday doesn’t suck…”.
