Monster Hunter Rise released just one week ago. Eager players have already begun to experience all of the new content the sixth installment in the franchise has to offer. Wyvern riding and Endemic Life are completely new features in Rise, for example. Because the game is still at the beginning of its life cycle, there is an endless number of things for players to discover.

One item hunters will need to get their hands on is the Dragonbone Relic. The Relic is essential if players wish to unlock the Dragonbone tree in the smithy menu. Players that can acquire the Dragonbone Relic will find that there are a number of interesting ways to utilize it.

3 When Players Can Find The Relic

Hunters will need to progress and unlock High Rank hub quests at the quest counter. Once gamers have unlocked these quests they will be able to complete the quest “Tour of the Islands”. During this quest, gamers will be able to find the Dragonbone Relic and begin completing the Dragonbone Smithy tree in Rise.

High Rank quests are unlocked by completing the main quests at the quest counter. After several hours of gameplay, hunters should be able to access all of the quests they need to begin hunting for the Dragonbone Relic. If the quest is not unlocked, the bonepile will still spawn, but the relic will not appear in the loot. This is the case for all rare bonepile drops on every map, so unlocking these quests is crucial.

2 Where To Find The Dragonbone Relic

Unlocking the first two High Rank quests will give players access to a location called the Frost Islands. The map has an abundance of new areas to explore, including one where players can find the Dragonbone Relic. Players will want to travel between zones 7, 5, 8, and 10.

Just to the west of zone 8 on the eastern side of the pools, hunters can find and acquire the Dragonbone Relic. Players should look for bone piles in that area. The bone piles will be on top of the sandy mounds that are surrounded by water. In one of those piles, hunters will discover the Dragonbone Relic.

1 What The Relic Is Used For

Once players have the Relic, they will be able to craft armor and weapons, as well as upgrade those items in the Smithy. For example, players will be able to upgrade the Ash Drache melee weapon using a few different materials including the coveted Dragonbone Relic.

Hunters can collect more Relics by revisiting the site after the bone piles have has some time to respawn. This process can be repeated to collect multiple Relics for Smithy upgrades. Gamers will need two Relics, Carbalite Ore, and Magna Ghostprism to upgrade the Ash Drache. More information about the other Relics and Smithy trees will be released as soon as it is available.
