There’s no shortage of adventure in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The latest installment in the spin-off of the Monster Hunter series gives players a diehard Monster Rider that can be used for travel or combat. Players’ Monsties are also customizable, as one can change its abilities as they see fit by using a gene-splicing feature.

That said, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is still very much a Monster Hunter game. In other words, there’s a huge number of Monsties that can be found in-game. Finding all of them is no easy task and can get pretty overwhelming. No worries - here’s the Monster List for Monster Hunter Stories 2.

What should be noted is that while players will inevitably come across a few of these Monsties in their playthrough, they may not be fully hatched yet. There’s a whole system to how Monstie Eggs work and mastering it gives players a pretty good head-start on the different egg types per beast.

All Monsters in Monster Hunter Stories 2

As expected of a Monster Hunter game, the list is extremely long. To start, all 68 ridable Monsties from Monster Hunter Stories have made a return, as well as the addition of new Monsties from previous entries in the Monster Hunter series. Altogether, there are 128 Monsties in-game for players to fight alongside, though only 81 of those are ridable Monsties. The good thing is that each Monstie has different abilities in and out of combat that can be quite useful depending on the situation. The following is a list of the confirmed Monsties available so far in Monster Hunter Stories 2:

  • Anjanath Apceros Aptonoth Arzuros Ash Kecha Wacha Astalos Azure Rathalos Barioth Barroth Basarios Bazelgeuse Bhanbara Black Diablos Black Gravios Bloodbath Diablos Blue Yian Kut-Ku Boltreaver Astalos Brachydios Brute Tigrex Bulldrome Bullfango Cephadrome Cephalos Conga Congalala Crimson Qurupeco Daimyo Hermitaur Desert Seltas Queen Deviljho Diablos Dreadking Rathalos Dreadqueen Rathian Durambos Elderfrost Gammoth Fulgur Anjanath Gammoth Gargwa Gendrome Glavenus Gold Rathian Gravios Great Baggi Great Jaggi Green Congalala Green Narcacuga Grimclaw Tigrex Gypceros Hellblade Glavenus Hermitaur Iodrome Jade Barroth Jaggi Jaggia Kecha Wacha Khezu Kirin Konchu Kulu Ya-Ku Kushala Daora Lagiacrus Lagombi Larinoth Legiana Ludroth Mitzutsune Molten Tigrex Monoblos Nergigante Nerscylla Oltura Oroshi Kirin Palamute Paolumu Pink Rathian Plesioth Popo Pukei-Pukei Purple Gypceros Purple Ludroth Qurupeco Rathalos Rathian Red Khezu Rhenoplos Royal Ludroth Ruby Basarios Sand Barioth Seltas Queen Seregios Shakalaka Shrouded Nerscylla Silver Rathalos Silverwind Nargacuga Slagtoth Soulseer Mitzutsune Stygian Zinogre Tetsucabra Thunderlord Zinogre Tigrex Tobi-Kadachi Uragaan Velkhana Velocidrome Velociprey White Monoblos Yian Garuga Yian Kut-Ku Zamtrios Zinogre

Monster Hunter Stories 2 players have a lot of work ahead of them, to say the least, though it pays off when it comes to the post-game content. Also, abilities and appearances aside, individual Monsties have their own exploration skills that can be performed while riding them, such as flying, climbing, or swimming.

It would seem that collecting all of them ASAP is the way to go, as exploring all there is to see in Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a great way to experience the game. Make sure to check back here for the full list of Monsties as more are revealed over the coming weeks.
