New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 10, 2022) follows:
Mortal Kombat released a massive mobile update commemorating its 30th anniversary on October 6, filled with MK nostalgia and new exciting content.
With the addition of the newest Diamond fighter, Klassic Movie Raiden, the developers take players back to the 1990s with a special tribute to the original Mortal Kombat film.
Mortal Kombat Mobile crashing
However, many Mortal Kombat Mobile players are facing crashing or freezing issues in Faction Wars game mode (1,2,3,4,5,6).
Faction Wars is a Mortal Kombat Mobile PvP game mode in which you combat AI versions of a real player’s team. In this mode, players compete on a regular basis to climb their Faction’s leaderboard charts and earn amazing rewards.
However, players have reported that the game constantly restarts after each round, or that it completely crashes or freezes in between matches, resulting in a team loss in Faction Wars mode.
This problem currently stops Mortal Kombat Mobile players from climbing the leaderboard and hence reaching for better rewards.
Issue acknowledged
Fortunately, WB Games support has confirmed that the team has been made aware of the situation and is now working on a patch. However, no ETA for a fix was provided.
We hope a patch is released soon because the Faction Wars game mode is now unplayable due to the crashing and freezing issues.
As always, we will be keeping an eye out on the issues and update this article once we come across more information so stay tuned.
Update 1 (October 11, 2022)

Fortunately, we did come across a few workarounds that you can try for a potential fix. One of them involves killing Scorpion and dying within 10 seconds to avoid the crash.
If this doesn’t work, here are some tips to prevent crashes during Battle 140.
Update 2 (December 15, 2022)
11:00 am (IST): Mortal Kombat Mobile players on iOS are reporting (1,2,3) another issue where the game crashes or stays stuck on loading when entering a Tower. This appears to have popped up after the recent update.
Fortunately, crashing-related issues on Android have allegedly gotten better.
