Netflix has shown that, relative to every other country where Netflix is available, its Indian customers have the most extensive viewership of films on the website. 80 percent of Netflix viewers stream at least one movie a week in India. And viewership has increased around the board, with Netflix subscribers rising in India in 2020.
But Netflix hasn’t given us any exact numbers as it releases for foreign films, or even given us a list of Netflix India’s top 10 movies and shows. Instead, winners in specific particular categories have been named, and a few common ones in other departments have been chosen. All the titles can be seen below.
In 2020, season 3 of Mighty Little Bheem was featured in the “Top 10” daily Netflix lists in more countries than any other title. Jamtara spent the most time here in India in the “Top 10” for any Indian title. In India, the German series Dark spent 95 days on the “Top 10,” while the Spanish sequel Money Heist spent 170 days on that list.
