New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on June 13, 2022) follows:
Developed by Soleil Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is an online multiplayer game that was released in August of 2018.
Set in the timeline where Naturo is the Seventh Hokage, it features several multiplayer game modes such as Barrier, Base, Combat, Survival, and Flag Battle.
Characters are also divided into four categories – attack, defense, ranged, and heal.
That said, several Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker players are reportedly getting a ‘Failed to Retrieve Server Data’ error message (1,2,3,4,5). Many are angry and frustrated and wondering why they are unable to play the game.
Some have tried restarting their system and reinstalling the game thinking it was a problem on their part but to no avail. You can see in the image below what the error message looks like in the image below.
Unfortunately, the game developers are yet to comment on the issue where several Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker players are getting a ‘Failed to Retrieve Server Data’ error message.
However, we came across a workaround that might help fix the problem. It requires players to spam the entry until the game loads.
As always, we will be keeping tabs on the problem and update this space as and when we come across more information so make sure you keep checking PiunikaWeb.
Update 1 (June 14)
12:51 pm (IST): Some players are now reporting (1, 2) that this issue has been resolved and the game is now working normally. However, there is no official confirmation if the issue is actually fixed.
Also, the support team had already informed gamers that the game will be under maintenance for a few hours. So, this could be the possible reason why players were getting ‘Failed to Retrieve Server Data’ error.
Update 2 (June 17)
11:11 am (IST): Naruto to Boruto support on Twitter has informed that the game was under maintenance on June 16 which is why many gamers were getting ‘Failed to retrieve server data’ error.
