As per the sources, Friday, July 22,2022, the 68th National Film Awards winners were announced. The Best Actor award for the year will be shared among Suriya and Ajay Devgn for their roles in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Soorarai Pottru.

Furthermore, Aparna Balamurali won best actress and Soorarai Pottru was named the best feature film. The life of G Gopinath, who founded Simplifly Deccan, is the theme for this film. Tanhaji, a historical film on the celebrated Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare, won the award for Best Popular Film Offering Wholesome Entertainment.
For the Malayalam thriller Ayyappanum Koshiyum, K R Sachidanandan, better known by his stage as Sachy, received the posthumous Best Director award, and Biju Menon received the award of Best Supporting Actor.
Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli received the Best Supporting Actress award for her work in Sivaranjaniyum Innum Sila Pengalum, which also won prizes for Best Tamil Film and Best Editing.
Young actor Varun Buddhadev from Toolsidas Junior was given a special jury mention for the outstanding Hindi film.
Dollu received the Best Kannada Film and Best Location Sound awards. Avijatrik won the awards for Best Cinematography and Best Bengali Film.
Best Malayalam Film went to Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam, and Best Telugu Film went to Colour Photo.
Madhya Pradesh won the award for Most Film-Friendly State, with special mentions going to Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. This year’s feature film jury is led by director Vipul Shah, and the panel’s member and cinematographer Dharam Gulati declared the winners.
Later this year, there will be an event where the National Film Awards will be presented.
