Nawab Malik, Minister in Maharashtra and senior Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) stated that BJP leader Mohit Bharatiya was the mastermind of the plot to ‘Kidnap’ Aryan Khan, son of bollywood star Shahrukh Khan. He added that Sameer Wankhade, Mumbai Zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau partnered with Bharatiya in Drugs-on-cruise-ship to demand ransom.
Malik said that the sensational drugs case is not what it appears to be and its fake. He added, “Aryan Khan didn’t purchase the ticket for the cruise party. It was Pratik Gaba and Amir Furniturewala who brought him there. It’s a matter of kidnapping and ransom. Mohit Bharatiya is the mastermind and partner of Sameer Wankhede in demanding ransom.”
He claimed that after a few days of Aryan’s detention, on 7th October, Mohit and Sameer met outside Oshiwara graveyard. He stated, “After this, Wankhede panicked and complained to the police that they were being chased. They were lucky that the nearby CCTV was not working and we couldn’t get the feed.”
He stated about this just after the claims of Mohit Bharatiya went out which mentioned that Sunil Patel “who is closely associated with NCP leaders, including former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh” is the mastermind of the case.
Malik stated that the claims are totally fake and considered them as an unsuccessful attempt “by a member of Wankhede’s private army to misguided and divert attention from the truth”.
He claimed,” A paper roll that was a brand of Fashion TV was seized in the case and it is being said the drug is consumed through that roll. Why was the owner not arrested? The owner of this brand is Kashiff Khan. He is a partner of Wankhede and was present at the party.”
But now a Special Investigation Team headed by IPS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh flew from Delhi to Mumbai to investigate in the case and other cases.
