New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on September 23) follows:
Ever since its launch, NBA 2K22 has managed to remain in the limelight. The 23rd installment in the NBA 2K franchise brought in several new useful features.
This year’s title is making use of everything the next-gen has to offer. Also, this will be the first time that MyCAREER mode is integrated into the New City for those playing the game on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
But following its release on September 10, the game had a rough start after players reported stability and connection issues with MyCAREER and the game servers going down right after it was released.
And if that wasn’t enough, players are now reporting a new issue with the game. According to reports, NBA 2K22 players say they are unable to use the elevator to get to the lobby.
Whenever they try to do so, they are getting ‘Unable to connect to server‘ or it causes a visual glitch. Some say they are sent back to the trio court.
You can see the visual glitch in the image below:
Ever since the game’s launch, players have complained about NBA 2K22 servers. And the elevator issue seems to be a server-side bug as well.
There are many Tweets and Reddit posts with players reporting that they are not able to use the elevator, but 2K Games is yet to acknowledge the issue.
We hope 2K takes a look at the issue that is preventing NBA 2K22 players from visiting the lobby since it is an essential part of the game.
When the developers acknowledge the issue, we will let you know so make sure you keep checking for updates.
Update 1 (September 24)
NBA 2K recently shared that they’ll be pushing a badge balancing update to tweak some aspects. But there was no mention of the elevator bug. Here is what they said:

Small blue diamond Increased effectiveness of Unpluckable
No patch download is required for this update.
Update 2 (September 25)
An individual on YouTube shared a potential workaround for the Elevator bug in the game and it seems it helped several others. So we’d suggest giving it a shot:
