Despite releasing over three years ago, Red Dead Redemption 2 has remained incredibly popular within the gaming community. With a cacophony of memes, mods, cosplay, and various other pieces of fan-made content circulating the internet, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to maintain its relevancy in the minds of several players. Now, one fan has combined Red Dead Redemption 2 with a franchise whose popularity has lasted entire generations.

Very few film franchises from the late 70s and 80s have managed to persist for as long as Star Wars has. With new movies, TV series, video games, and Lego sets continuing to be produced over the course of the last several decades, Star Wars is beloved by countless people around the world. However, thanks to the dilligent work of a certain individual, both Star Wars and Red Dead Redemption 2 have molded into one entitiy.

A Reddit user named Reemvi posted a piece of crossover fan-art that combines Star Wars with the art style of Red Dead Redemption. Instead of having the title be Red Dead Redemption, the user cleverly uses the name of Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing, Red 5, as a replacement for Red Dead. The art features the X-Wing prominently where Arthur Morgan’s head would have normally been.

The number of Star Wars related details included within this poster is incredible, while still managing to match the aesthetic of Red Dead Redemption. For instance, the sun in the background is in the shape of the Death Star and in addition to the Red 5 X-Wing, both R2-D2 and C-3PO are featured at the bottom of the poster on some kind of grassland.

Although, this isn’t the first time that Red Dead Redemption’s minimalist art design has been used as part of other pieces of crossover art. One talented fan managed to combine Red Dead Redemption with the Clint Eastwood’s Dollars movie trilogy. Perhaps this is becoming a trend simply due to how memorable the box art of both Red Dead Redemption games is.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Red Dead Redemption going forward. Right now, the bulk of Red Dead Redemption related content has come in the form of Red Dead Online, but given how long it took for the second installment to release, it’s unlikely that the gaming community will see a third Red Dead Redemption anytime soon.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
