The new Maruti FRONX SUV made its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo today. Maruti also opened the pre-booking of this car in India today.
Maruti is all set to rock the market this year with its launch setlist. The company is using the Auto Expo 2023 platform to showcase some of its upcoming models.
This SUV is based on the Baleno platform, it comes with many best-in-class features and a powerful 1.0-litre petrol Boosterjet engine option. The BoosterJet gasoline mill will be paired with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission option with paddle shifters. Customers can opt for the 1.2-litre K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine with idle start/stop technology and is paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT. The powertrain develops 90 PS and 113 Nm.
The Fronx coupe SUV has its design inspired by the Grand Vitara mainly at the front with a prominent grille section and a split headlamp cluster evoking modernity.
The styling comprises a wide central intake, a sporty front bumper and muscular bonnet creases. On the side, newly designed alloy wheels and a coupe-like roofline can be found while the rear comes with wraparound LED tail lamps and a slightly sculpted tailgate. This car will be retailed through the Nexa chain of premium dealerships.
The pre-booking on this car is open and it will be released soon in the coming months.
