FIFA 22 is experiencing an increase in data leaks and game hacks this year, much to the chagrin of EA Sports. Despite its best efforts, information about the game’s FIFA Ultimate Team mode has been a constant pain to keep under wraps, and the latest news regarding the Squad Building Challenge is suffering the same fate.
According to FUT Sheriff on Twitter, one of the most notorious and reliable data leakers when it comes to FIFA gaming, the latest SBC Marquee Matchups have been revealed ahead of the official announcement. The Marquee Matchups include four head-to-head challenges as part of EA Sports’ continuous efforts to bring fresh content at a rapid pace to the title.
The matchups include Az Alkmaar vs Feyenoord, Sevilla vs Betis, Lazio vs Napoli, and Chelsea vs Liverpool. Squad Building Challenge is a mode in FIFA 22 where players build up their squad consisting of players linked to the teams within the listed Marquee Matchup teams and submit them to earn rewards. The unique mode was introduced in this year’s installment of the franchise and will give players a different challenge to embark on. Marquee Matchups are revealed every Thursday at 1PM EST, however, the leaks for this upcoming week beat EA Sports by several hours.
Players will have ample time to start building their teams, consisting of players from the devoted clubs, as well as others from around the league. By either buying packs in the shop or heading over to the transaction market, each team requirement fulfilled will earn one reward, while completing all four challenges will receive a supplementary reward. The FIFA 22 weekly challenge, which starts today at 1PM EST, will last until March 3 at 1PM EST, giving players a week to gather all the necessary players and earn their packs.
With how much content has been rolling out lately, gamers interested in collecting and remaining competitive will be diving into this week’s Marquee Matchup. EA Sports has been busy with its content updates as of late, and Title Update 6.1 is expected to be released sometime soon. As part of Title Update 6, FIFA 22 released several bug fixes related to gameplay and issues revolving around purchasing and owning packs from the store. While not confirmed to be directly related to the SBC Marquee Matchup, it will be interesting to see whether or not the two are correlated.
FIFA 22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
