That being said, the game is no stranger to technical bugs and glitches with players recently complaining about movement and speed bug in war or OPR and an issue where Reekwater Quests were spawning too many mobs.
New World chat function stops working after Outpost Rush
Unfortunately, it looks like another issue is affecting players. According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) from New World players, many say that the chat function stops working after playing Outpost Rush.
Players say they are unable to send any messages at all. This is really frustrating since it is an online multiplayer game and cooperation is one of the core aspects of any such title.
It should be noted that this bug is not exactly new. In fact, there are similar reports popping up since the last week of November.
But reports are still coming with some players complaining about the issue just a few days ago.
Months after the issue was reported, New World developers have finally acknowledged the issue and said that they are working on fixing it. Unfortunately, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.
And although chat can be used again by reconnecting to the server or disabling and enabling the function via settings, this is not a viable solution.
