New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on July 22, 2021) follows:

While many are enjoying the MMORPG through the closed beta, it seems an issue has been spoiling their experience lately.

As per multiple reports, New World players are experiencing the ‘Connection error‘ and ‘Connection failed‘ messages while waiting in the login queue.

The problem appears to be widespread and it is further making the game unplayable for players.

On the other hand, players even say that their friends are able to play the game without any error messages.

While this issue is indeed inconveniencing many New World players, they may not have to face it for long.

This is because New World support has said that they are aware of the server bugs and issues but the closed beta will ensure a stable launch on August 31, 2021.

Also, constant improvements are being made to address this problem so that users can enjoy the game without any hassle.

Since there is no ETA for a fix, New World players have found a workaround to bypass the ‘Connection error’ and ‘Connection failed’ messages.

It seems syncing the time from the Windows date and time settings appears to be resolving this issue for some.

Thus, those who are unable to play New World because of the ‘Connection error’ and ‘Connection failed’ messages should definitely try this workaround.

Apart from that, players with the EVGA 3090 GPU have been reporting that New World is bricking their graphics card. To prevent this, players can manually adjust the FPS to 60 in the New World graphics settings.

That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new information to share so stay tuned.

Update 1 (July 23)

IST 06:30 pm: Several reports indicate that those who are able to get past the login queue issue in New World are facing the ‘Connection Error’ during spawning and re-spawning.

While the issue has been acknowledged by New World support, users have also found an easy workaround to bypass the error where quitting the game and closing Steam and the game client for an hour fixes this problem for good.
