Newly Weds Actor Vignesh Shivam and Nayanthara issued an apology to Tirupati Balaji temple because of controversy during their visit to the temple.
A legal notice was delivered to the couple for wearing shoes/sandals inside the temple and taking pictures.
In the viral video on the internet, Nayanthara was found walking in the temple with a pair of footwear.
However, Vignesh issued an apology towards Newlyweds Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan issued an apology letter to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam board.
Actor Vignesh’s letter –
The letter read as, ‘Dear all, we have always wanted our marriage to happen in Tirupati.
But due to logistical reasons, that was not possible and we had to do our wedding in Chennai.
To wholesomely complete our wedding, we made sure we headed to Tirupati directly from our wedding venue (without going home) to watch Samin Kalyanam any to receive blessings of lord Balaji who we have utmost devotion towards.
We had wonderful darshan and wanted to click pictures outside the temple but due to the crowd and chaos we had to exit the premises and re-enter at a time where there was less commotion.
He continued, In a hurry for a quick picture, we did not realise we had our footwear on when we got back later for a quick picture outside the temple.
We’re a couple who go to temples regularly and have immense faith in God.
We have been to Tirumala almost 5 times in the past 30 days trying to do our wedding there.
We sincerely apologize to those who we could have offended and we mean no disrespect to the lord who we love.
We are grateful for the love and wishes we received during our special day and we hope you continue to shower us with only the positivity we need from you.’
The officials statement –
However, according to chief vigilance security officer to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam board Narashimha Kishore, wearing footwears is strictly prohibited in the temple’s premises.
Due to which, the board will soon issue legal notices to Nayanthara.
They added, ‘We have also spoken to her and she wanted to release a video to the press apologizing to Lord Balaji, TTD and pilgrims. However we are going to serve notices to her’.
Recently, the actors tied a knot in Private resort in Chennai, Mahabalipuram.
Although only a few guests were invited along with close friends and family members.
