No More Heroes is a cult hack and slash action title from the mind of Goichi Suda, otherwise known as Suda51. This niche series started on the Nintendo Wii back in the day and has grown to become a full-fledged series, with its third numbered entry launching in just a few months for the Nintendo Switch. In the last couple of years, both No More Heroes 1 and 2 have gotten ported to modern consoles, like when they came to the Switch last year.
How Long is No More Heroes?
Luckily for new players, they should be able to finish up the entire campaign of No More Heroes with plenty of spare time to play the second game, and then maybe Travis Strikes Again, before No More Heroes 3 launches in August. So far, all games in the series have been fairly short, not taking too much time away from the player. According to Howlongtobeat, it took players an average of 11 hours to complete the main story and see the credits.
Now, there is a bunch of side content available to players in the game, which can bring that completion time up quote a bit. For the completionists out there that plan on collecting every little thing and seeing all there is to see in the town of Santa Destroy, expect to take about 20 hours or more. With that being said, 20 hours for full completion isn’t that bad compared to some other games.
No More Heroes 3 is the biggest No More Heroes game yet, so there’s bound to be even more game time than the first game in the series. It’s been a long time since a numbered entry in this series has released, so there’s a lot to catch up on when it comes to Travis Touchdown’s history of being a skilled assassin.
