New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on April 17, 2021) follows:
Even though Nokia came up with an Android 11 roadmap soon after the Android 11 official release, the company hasn’t been able to live up to its own promises.
With a bunch of smartphones in the market and a timeline to follow, Nokia has a hard mountain to climb.
The first quarter is almost at its end and Nokia users are yet to taste the latest OS. So far, only the flagship Nokia 8.3 5G has received the update.
Nokia devices are part of the Android One program which usually gets the updates quite early. But a delay of this kind in providing Android 11 updates seems to be a critical flaw at the Nokia end.
Anyway, when it comes to making the shift to the next generation of Android, the companies have to re-program a lot of codes while also ensuring stability and optimum performance of the OS.
For this very reason, a device goes through extensive testing before the update airs to the masses.
Nokia has a good number of devices lined up for the Android 11 update already and when these updates start rolling out, device owners may encounter a couple of bugs as well.
Good thing is that the Nokia community is pretty active and the community admins do welcome user complaints and pass on the feedback to the concerned departments.
But it’s important to keep a track of all those bugs and issues that may follow after the major transition and therefore, we have prepared a dedicated Nokia Android 11 bug tracker.
