The official release date of Monster Hunter Rise PC was recently revealed by CAPCOM as part of the Tokyo Game Show. The game, originally launched this March on Nintendo Switch, will be available on the platform via Steam starting on January 12th, 2022. The announcement included a debut trailer, but IGN Japan has now managed to publish a nine-minute-long gameplay video that provides a better look at Monster Hunter Rise PC (though it is not available in 4K resolution, sadly)....

Monster Hunter Rise is apparently going to feature new monster riding mechanics that will allow hunters to ride monsters into battle. In a new Reddit post, user PracticalBrush12 revealed that the upcoming new entry in the series will not feature mounting, but these new monster riding mechanics instead. While riding monsters, it will be possible to attack, dodge, and even slam the monster into walls repeatedly. While these new Monster Hunter Rise mechanics have yet to be officially revealed, there is a very high chance that they are indeed in the game....

MoviePass will return on Labor day in beta form with a new tiered pricing system. The subscription service will reopen on Thursday, August 25, with a waitlist posted on its website at 9 a.m. ET where cinemagoers who want to join the beta version can sign up, Deadline reports. US space agency NASA has released detailed video footage that chronicles the final minutes of Mars 2020 Perseverance rover’s entry, descent, and landing (EDL) on the Red Planet on February 18, 2021. This video, being the most clear and detailed video of Mars we have viewed to date. The video footage begins about 230 seconds after the spacecraft’s entry to the upper Martian atmosphere at 12,500 mph. The camera system aboard the spacecraft covers the entirety of the descent process, right from the supersonic deployment of the most massive parachute ever sent to another world, about 11 kilometres above the Martian surface....

A new Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition patch has gone live today, introducing fixes for multiple crashing issues and more. Obsidian Entertainment’s unique narrative role-playing game Pentiment will launch on November 15th on PC and Xbox consoles.
